Why should your web designer?

You may still pay third parties for things your business actually uses — your domain name, business email, Shopify, booking software, payment processing, or other outside services. What you won’t get from us is a monthly Oddworks bill simply because we built your website once.

How payment works

We keep this simple too.

50% to start.

That gets the project moving.

50% when it’s ready to launch.

That’s it.

No twelve-month contract. No mysterious setup fee. No surprise “platform activation charge.”

We have no idea what a platform activation charge is either.

What about revisions?

Two rounds are included.

That gives us plenty of room to make sensible changes and get things right. What it doesn't include is changing the entire design seventeen times because someone's cousin came over for dinner and had some thoughts.

If the project grows beyond the included revision rounds, additional work can be handled through an Oddworks Work Block.

What if my project doesn't fit one of these?

Most small-business websites do. That’s the point.

A normal five-page website does not require us to disappear into a conference room and prepare a custom pricing model.

Large ecommerce site? Complex custom functionality? Forty-seven locations? Some bizarre thing we’ve never seen before? Fine.

Truly custom work gets a custom quote.

But we're not going to pretend your restaurant's About page requires one.

Do I have to sign up for a monthly plan?

No. Build the website. Pay for the website. Need Oddworks later? Book us later. Don't need anything? Pay $0.

Will you write the website for me?

We'll organize and clean up your existing information as part of the website packages. If substantial original content is needed beyond the included scope, we'll tell you what it costs before we do it. No surprise bill.

What if I already have a logo and photos?

Great. Send them over. We'd rather work with the real business than fill your website with a stock photo of four strangers pointing enthusiastically at a laptop.

What if my current website is terrible?

You are very much in the right place. Good business. Bad website. We fix that.

Do we have to have a meeting?

No. If talking makes the project easier, we're happy to talk. If you'd rather send us your information and get back to running your business, that's fine too. We do not need a 45-minute “discovery session” to learn that you're a plumber and you want people to call you.

Is SEO included?

Basic on-page SEO is included. We do not promise that Google will immediately declare you King of the Internet. Anyone who does is selling something.

Are there other costs?

Possibly — but we'll tell you about them. Domains, email, ecommerce platforms, payment processors, booking systems, premium software, and other third-party services may have their own fees. Oddworks does not hide required recurring costs inside the fine print.
